BANKING INDUSTRY ATTACKS
In recent years, credit unions have fallen under attack by the banking industry.
Banks argue that credit unions should not retain their tax-exempt status and that they do not serve their members as they should. Independent studies determined that credit unions continue to offer a full range of modern services that meet the needs of working men and women, the core of our membership, and that credit unions benefit all consumers by providing competition in the marketplace.
